Project description: Kozma-Bútor Kft. specializes in the manufacture of custom, small-batch furniture and interior design projects. Thanks to its continuous development, the company has been able to secure projects of increasingly high quality. The company was struggling with capacity issues, and the inaccuracies, waste, and delays resulting from manual processing were causing problems when carrying out high-quality carpentry work—and, increasingly, interior design projects. The acquisition of the machining center represented a huge step forward in terms of increasing production capacity. The newly acquired CNC machine enabled the machining of furniture fronts and other milled surfaces, the installation of hardware requiring high precision, and the production of other products requiring CNC technology.
The KORPUS Integrated Furniture Industry System’s production planning and SCM CNC machining center control applications were necessary for the efficient control and operation of the machining center. The KORPUS STANDARD MODULE enabled inventory management, order processing, cost calculation, cutting optimization, and scrap material management. With the KORPUS SERIAL MODULE, the company was able to create its own standardized furniture components, based on which the system automatically determines the cutting dimensions of parametric furniture components, as well as material and accessory requirements. Using this module, the furniture’s material, overall dimensions, and components can be modified with a single click. The entire system is built on the KORPUS STANDARD module. The KORPUS CAD/CAM MODULE is a high-performance, AutoCAD© OEM-based, Hungarian-language CAD/CAM software (the AutoCAD© engine is part of the application) for programming CNC machining centers. The program supports simple drilling, optimized drilling, and horizontal drilling operations, as well as drilling along existing paths/routes and parametric drilling based on predefined conditions. It is also possible to specify milling operations along various geometries, on horizontal planes and user-defined planes, even as multi-level machining.

Project description: Our company has been engaged in the design, manufacture, and distribution of custom kitchen furniture and wardrobes since 1994. Kozma Bútor Kft. continuously monitors innovations in both domestic and international markets. In order to fulfill custom, high-end orders, the company must necessarily track, apply, and adapt new technologies. To achieve these goals, Kozma Bútor Kft. submitted a grant application in response to the call for proposals titled “Increasing the Competitiveness of SMEs through Adaptive Technological Innovation” (GINOP-2.1.8-17).
As part of the project, one SSCM OLIMPIC K 560 single-sided edge-banding machine with an automatic pre-milling unit for PU (polyurethane) gluing was purchased.

Project Description: The applicant company, Kozma-Bútor Kft., operates in the furniture manufacturing and distribution market, with its primary activity being the “manufacture of kitchen furniture.” Over the course of its 16 years in business, it has established a stable network of suppliers and customers. It generates the majority of its revenue through the manufacturing and distribution of custom-made and small-batch furniture in various styles (classic rustic, minimalist-high-tech, modern, Mediterranean-country). This unique product line specifically meets the demand of a niche market segment, which market forecasts predict will continue to expand. Its product offerings fall into a higher price range. In addition to furniture, the company also sells household appliances. The applicant’s manager, key figure, and mentor to interns, Zoltán Dezső Kozma, has been involved in the manufacture and distribution of custom furniture since 1994. The family business has undergone continuous development, thanks to which it had grown into a limited liability company (Kft.) by 1999 and has maintained this legal structure ever since. Thanks to more than 20 years of experience in the furniture industry, continuous self-directed learning, and a technical mindset, the company now designs furniture and office furnishings for renowned international companies (L’Oréal, Nordsee, SONY, ACER, and the Russian Embassy), as well as various state-owned companies, local governments, and educational institutions, led by a young, dynamic team of interior designers.
Over the years, its workforce has grown into a stable team of 11 employees, including 3 women and 8 men. The company has developed a stable network of suppliers and customers, supported by a sophisticated supplier information system. It operates a website that is continuously updated, and the necessary resources for its maintenance are in place. In addition to furniture manufacturing, the company offers complimentary on-site assessments, expert consultations, and visual design services as supplementary support services. The managing director’s experience and entrepreneurial background ensure the company’s smooth operation, and he oversees that the services provided by the company are in line with the guidelines set forth in the quality policy. To maintain sustainable growth and its competitive edge, the company must implement improvements in the short term. Currently, the company is struggling with capacity issues, and when carrying out high-quality carpentry work—and, increasingly, interior design projects—inaccuracies, waste, and delays resulting from manual labor pose a problem. Labor shortages are becoming an increasingly significant issue. The goal of the grant application is to increase the number of employees, a goal to which the purchase of equipment will contribute significantly, as the company will be able to meet the demands of its growing order backlog more efficiently.
The interns employed in the project hold the following qualifications: Machine Manufacturing Technology Technician (OKJ 54 521 03) Construction and Material Handling Equipment Operator (Forklift Operator specialization) (OKJ 32 582 02) The mechanical engineering technology technician organizes the daily work of employees, establishes the necessary conditions for production and service programs, determines the sequence of work processes, and prepares operating instructions: professional planning, organization, and regulation of work to ensure optimal use of labor; compiling technical documentation, standards, and guidelines related to production and service processes; comparing the initial and final states, and breaking down the tasks to be performed into elementary operations that are independent of one another in terms of space and time;
Establishing the sequence of operations, taking into account the sequence constraints inherent in the nature of the tasks to be performed and the resource constraints; Interns employed in the role of work and production planner require a high-performance desktop computer and monitor to organize work processes, compile orders, document tasks, and write CNC machine programs. This computer is necessary for the intern to prepare the assigned cutting plans, bills of materials, and CNC programs. Construction and material-handling machine operators perform simple, generally physical tasks using manual labor, such as servicing machines or assisting people, and handling materials and objects. Their work may also require the use of simple tools or equipment: manually edge-banding furniture panels; manually machining furniture panels with assigned tools; operating assigned simple devices, and cleaning machines, equipment, and tools
An intern employed in a simple industrial position can continuously acquire the skills necessary for the carpentry trade by assisting the carpenters in their work. For hand-processing furniture panels, the intern will use the Festool drill/driver, Festool miter saw, Festool dowel drill, and hand tools (hammer, pliers, screwdriver, chisel, file, clamp, cable reel, etc.), as well as the Festool edge trimmer for manually trimming the edges of furniture panels. These are basic carpentry tools. The equipment purchases made during the project will lay the foundation for the conditions necessary for long-term, successful operations. The goal is to increase the number of employees, and the equipment purchases will contribute significantly to this, as the business will be able to meet the demands of the increased order volume more efficiently. Project description:
Our company has been engaged in the design, manufacture, and distribution of custom kitchen furniture and wardrobes since 1994. The company currently aims to expand its range of products and services based on customer feedback. This development will help stabilize and increase market share. The coronavirus pandemic has significantly impacted the company’s operations, as compliance with restrictions and lockdown measures led to a significant decline in the customer base. The project will help retain the workforce and fulfill new orders. The machine to be purchased ensures full digitization, is system-integrated, and can be programmed for production linked to visual designs via a direct connection. The sheet-cutting machine to be purchased will contribute to improved productivity, increase the company’s capacity, and enable efficient production and state-of-the-art service.
As part of the project, infrastructure investments will also be implemented, including the installation of a sectional industrial door and state-of-the-art LED lighting.

Description of the project:
As part of the project, KOZMA-BÚTOR Kft. intends to carry out a complex investment at its facility located at 15 Vasöntő Street, 3200 Gyöngyös. The company will purchase 1 IP-SW 6-type painting wall system and 1 ST 4 Elite-type combined milling and panel-cutting machine. The project will also include property modernization and the implementation of 3 modules of a business cloud service; in addition, the indirect costs associated with the technical implementation of the project will be covered. By implementing this investment, the company will be able to further develop its operations, which have been ongoing for more than 25 years, and the equipment to be purchased will bring about significant technological innovations for the company.
