Do it well, and do what is right – therein lies the great secret!
A common feature of the British Telecommunications and Albemarle projects featured in the October issue is that the interior fit-out for both was carried out by Kozma Bútor Ltd. This inspired us to speak with the company's managing director about these projects, the company's current position, and its future direction.
We have seen Kozma Bútor Ltd. involved in several projects recently. What do you attribute this to?
We hope and believe it is a natural outcome of consistently delivering high-quality work. On the British Telecommunications project, a satisfied client chose to work with us again, appointing us as the dedicated contractor for their Debrecen office after successfully completing their Budapest office. In the case of the Albemarle project, we were invited based on recommendations from the designers, thanks to the professional relationship established during the British Telecommunications project.
We hope this process will continue, as customer satisfaction is one of the cornerstones of our company, and we intend to build our future on this foundation.
What kinds of projects lie ahead for the company?
I cannot disclose details about ongoing negotiations, but I can say that we are currently discussing two particularly exciting and challenging projects. Both involve high-end hotel fit-out work, which will also allow us to expand our product and service portfolio.
Our goal is to complete these projects to the highest standard, and we hope they will lead to further opportunities within the hospitality sector.
How did these opportunities come about?
In both cases, we were approached by the general contractor. However, as is so often the case, these collaborations are the result of successful partnerships built over many years.
During our previous conversation, the quote "Do it well, and do what is right – therein lies the great secret!" by Kazinczy came to mind. Since then, we have adopted it as our company slogan, and it has become the central graphic element of our new showroom in Budapest's 13th district.
Why did you decide to open a new showroom? Is it a move towards serving more residential clients?
I wouldn't describe it as a new direction, but rather as a return to our roots. Our company originated in residential furniture manufacturing, and this segment remains an important part of our business.
However, the primary purpose of the showroom is something different. We wanted to create a space where we could introduce architects and designers to the latest technologies, manufacturing techniques, and innovative materials emerging in the woodworking and furniture industry. The showroom serves as a venue for workshops, professional presentations, and informal discussions, encouraging collaboration and the exchange of ideas.
